Introduction To Bachelor Of Development Management With Honours Degree [Bdm (Hons)]
This course aims to develop graduates with strong skills when working and leading people towards attaining the intended goals and objectives. Thus, critical thinking, integrity, communication, teamwork, entrepreneurial and leadership are among prerequisite skills that needed to be exercised in each subject of the programme. BDM Programme aims to produce professional graduates in management development who possess extensive knowledge in various aspects which include the development of socio-economic status, quality, governance, environment and project management.
Career Prospect
The degree in Development Management prepares the students for managerial roles in public and private agencies specifically related to economic and social development at local and international level. For example, the graduates can work as administrative officers, state development officers, project managers, project planning executives and work with local and international non-governmental agencies. The graduates can also become as Third World specialists in socio-economic development and other areas such as in the civil and foreign service, media, education, and trans-national companies. The main task of the graduates is to translate and apply their knowledge and experience to manage their agencies for the benefit of the public interest.
