Bachelor of Public Management with Honours [BPM (Hons)]

Introduction

This course aims to introduce students to the concepts, theories and important aspects in public administration. This includes changing the roles of public administration during the colonized period. Apart from that, aspects related to coordination, management machinery, conduct, discipline, bureaucracy, relations private and public sectors and local development administration will also be discussed in order to achieve a more systematic and effective administration system.

Career Prospect

Public administration courses will prepare candidates for wide ranges of positions in government agencies, educational institutions, private sector, nonprofit organizations in related fields of economic, legal, political and social. Overall, public administration job prospects are expected to offer plenty of career paths in public administration, including: public management, foreign services, national security, regulation and others. One of the fastest-growing sources of public administration jobs in recent years has been the consulting field and non-governmental organizations.
